Lauren Lambert Brower
GREENSBORO -- Ms. Brower, 42, died on Saturday, May 2, 2009. She is survived by her parents Eleanor and Lawrence Lambert and will be missed by many others.
Services will be held at 2:00 Tuesday, May 5, 2009, at the Congregational United Church of Christ, Radiance Drive, Greensboro, NC. Visitation will follow in Fellowship Hall.
Lauren was born September 12, 1966. She graduated from Southeast High School and UNCG. Performing Arts were her passion and she appeared in many productions at local theaters. Singing engagements took her to many parts of the country. Writing became a major part of her battle with Cancer. Her concern for young women to be screened for Cancer and others to understand led to the authoring of several books and a web site that reached many in other countries. She was a prolific writer and poet. She loved her country home and reaching out to animals in need of help. Lauren had a depth of understanding on any subject, a love of all life had to offer and she will be missed.
The family could not have managed without the help of Hospice of Greensboro where Lauren was residing at the time of her death. A special thank you to all who have helped.
Memorials may be made to Beacon Place Hospice of Greensboro, 2500 Summit Ave., Greensboro, NC 27405, or to Animal Rescue League.
Forbis and Dick Guilford Chapel is assisting the Brower Family, offer condolences at www.forbisanddick.com.

Fred Hotline Gets "Pimped" by Gate
"The Fred Hotline is a humorous blog that is done by the creator of the Greater Greensboro Open blog, a blog done in homage to the PGA tournament in Greensboro, NC. We have been meaning to pimp it for awhile and have not taken the time to do so. Untill today.
What drove us was his post on the Hooters bikini competition in Winston-Salem. It was a fine piece of journalism and we want to make sure that we recognize it.
We like Hooters and have written about it many times. Our thoughts on the food and our concerns about its over expansion have been some of our best posts. But we don't think that we love Hooters as much as the GGO and Fred Hotline blogger. The man is truly a Hooters expert.
So GGO blogger, this post is for you."
(Thanks Gate. You called my blog humorous and me an expert in the same post. I am very proud.)
