John Daly with Hooters Golf Bag

Winston-Salem Hooters

It's been a while since I posted any photos of Hooters girls on the Fredhotline, so I wanted to show you this photo taken by Kevin von der Lippe. He didn't cut off my head this time. (I'm so proud of him.) This was taken at the "Hooters on the Hill" in Winston-Salem.

They Didn't Start This Fire

"Rickrolling is an Internet (joke) involving the music video for the 1987 Rick Astley song "Never Gonna Give You Up . The (joke)is a bait and switch a person provides a Web link they claim is relevant to the topic at hand, but the link actually takes the user to the Astley video.

The URL can be masked or obfuscated in some manner so that the user cannot determine the true source of the link without clicking (and thus satisfying their curiosity). When a person clicks on the link given and is led to the web page he/she is said to have been "Rickrolled". By extension, it can also mean playing the song loudly in public in order to be disruptive."

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rickroll

Kids today think they are so cool with their phones and Internet jokes. I'm here to tell you that they didn't start this fire. Back in 1987 when Rick Astley's video was being played on MTV every 15 minutes (yes, they played music on music television back then) we had a friend named Phil that looked enough like Rick Astley that we all would say things like, "you look like Rick Astley".

We didn't have cell phones or the Internet yet so we spent a lot of time walking around at the mall. We'd be in a crowd of people and one of us would shout "hey look! It's Rick Astley". Phil would then dance like a fool and sing the first line of that song and then later punch you in the arm. That's an old school Rickroll.

Greensboro Fantasy Football Draft

Don’t talk strategy with Ken, Darren, Jay and sometime Pete if you have any desire to field a decent team.

Fantasy Football After Party
They sold us the wings.

More Hooters Photos

This photo was taken right after the manager gave the boys free beer. Everyone looks so happy.

I Made Them Go to All Those Hooters

Check out Chris in the chair behind her giving "Two Thumbs Up". Dude it's hard for me to take the blame for making you go to Hooters with shots like this one.

I've worn the same shirt to every Hooters on the East Coast.

Cartography at Hooters (Told in reverse)

You can't spell Jeremy Bray without J&B.
So we found the promise land. Liquor sales at the Costco.

Janna drew this very detailed map. Who needs a GPS when you have a cute Hooter's girl with a paper towel and an ink pen?
We were sitting at the world's greatest Hooters when Dr. Bray said he wanted to go to the Costco-because he had heard they sold liquor there. The funny part about that is, Chad and Randy are the only two of the foursome that remember being at this Hooter's the first time. The last thing the group needed was more liquor. (In other words-why did we ever leave?)

More Scenes from this Year's SSGCI

Chris wears his sunglasses at night. He may be asleep in this photo it's really hard to say.
Chris is "Number One" to fans of the SSGCI.
I know this photo was taken on the first day because he's not just eating white toast.
All players at this year's SSGCI ate at the Sunrise Pancake House.

Chad and Chris at the Best Hooters in the World

I wanted to post this photo of Chad and Chris at the best Hooters in the world mainly because Chris has no memory of having been there.

Morehead City Hooters

I have the best father-in-law in the world. On the way to the wedding this weekend he stopped at the Morehead City Hooters so I could get punch number nine on my Hooters passport. (The Boss Lady and I stopped at the Greenville Hooters so I could collect punch number ten.)

This was not our most favorite trip to Hooters

Don't let the smiles fool you. One of these people is pure evil.

Scenes from the SSGCI

Poor cart girl.
One of these men has been over served.

Chad Ice takes the prize in the first round of this year's SSGCI at John Daly's Wicked Stick. The SSGCI Commissioner looks very serious during this presentation.

Check Out the Fat Floating Head on the Back Row.

My new golf buddies Chad and Chris sent me this video clip. Check out the fat floating head on the far right at the end of the video.

A Vote for Claudia is a Vote for America

I'm not really sure what this is all about, but Mike D has a very hot girlfriend. With that being said go to the following link and vote. http://www.pxspot.com/public/file_viewDetail.asp?uid=685&fileID=36511&albumID=3633

Critics Agree "A GGO Thing" is a Book

With the Wyndham Championship's return to Sedgefield many golf fans are pulling their old Sedgefield memorabilia out of storage and dusting it off. These cherished collectibles will undoubtedly include a GGO decanter or two.

A GGO Thing:A Brief History of the Greater Greensboro Open Commemorative Decanters is the new book written to answer some of the questions that may be asked by those that do not remember a time when the tournament was held at Sedgefield. This volume begins with a brief history of how the Greater Greensboro Open began and then moves to a discussion of each of the eleven bottles produced to market the GGO.

Randy Harris, 2002 President of the Greensboro Jaycees, presents a brief history of the commemorative decanters produced to promote the Greater Greensboro Open from 1972 until 1982. This account details the way in which the bottles were used to market the golf tournament during the 1970's and beyond. It includes dozens of photos and interviews that bring these collectible decanters to life. A GGO Thing also details the move from Sedgefield to Forest Oaks and back again as seen through the stories told by each decanter.

A GGO Thing takes its name from the back of the very first decanter produced in 1972 that reads "In the Spring, It's the GGO Thing".

When asked why the GGO decanters remain so popular, the book's author Randy Harris had this to say. "The decanters have become a part of our shared past. They are more than souvenirs, they are a limited edition piece of our community's history."

A GGO Thing is currently available on Amazon.com.

A GGO Thing is the first book written by Randy Harris. Harris, also known as the ggoblogger, writes the Greater Greensboro Open Blog. This journal is dedicated to the preservation and discussion of memorabilia and related topics from the Greater Greensboro Open, Kmart Greater Greensboro Open, Greater Greensboro Chrysler Classic, Chrysler Classic of Greensboro, Wyndham Championship and occasionally the Nike Greensboro Open and the Greensboro Buy.Com.

Nunnsense at the Wilmington Hooters

I'm not really comfortable with this photo of Dr. Bray and myself. "Doug" and Scott share a moment at the Wilmington Hooters.
